About Jake
Jake Lyons, guitarist, is a 17-year-old singer-songwriter from San Diego, California. Having worked with many different mentors, including Dr. Andrew Steinberg (PHD Music), Rudy Marquez (M.A. Music), Matt Heineke, and Oscar Carrion, he has developed many styles of playing and has incorporated them into his performances in the Coronado School of the Arts; as well as in outside of school private events and restaurants. He has played at Buona Forchetta, an Italian restaurant chain in his hometown of San Diego, for six years and counting. He has also performed at charity benefits and private events, such as for Rady Children’s Hospital, Safe Harbor, and the San Diego Rescue Mission for many years. With his varied styles, he has just what you need for your private event; whether it be through mellow acoustic background music, big band jazz, small combo jazz, or full band soft rock music. He is currently attending Belmont University in Nashville to study Music Business and further pursue his passion for music.
